Here are a few shots of my three bookcases and the treasures therein. The metal bookcases themselves were manufactured by Atlantic Metal Industries, Inc., whose line has since been taken over by Sandusky Lee. I chose these units because they were the only ones I could find with casters (I consider wheels to be absolutely paramount on any piece of heavy furniture that has the potential to be moved around). They also have adjustable shelves in 2" increments. I went to a local craft store and purchased a roll of vinyl padding, which I then measured, cut, and glued to each top. If I had not added the padding, these books would be sliding in and out on a fairly coarse metal surface. Keep in mind these particular bookcases weren't designed to hold collectibles, but their mobility versus traditional static wood bookcases have proven to be a real godsend on a number of occasions.
The double-door unit is model MCSG7236; I'm not sure about the open unit. I also purchased a black 2-shelf unit (MB3618) that serves as my Brodarting platform (as seen HERE). I recommend them HIGHLY. They can hold a whopping 200 pounds per shelf, include heavy-duty 5" casters (two of which lock), and come in 12", 18", or 24" deep shelves. As a bonus, they come pre-assembled - only the casters and shelves need to be installed. I went with the 18" deep shelves, which are perfect.
The wood bookcase is just a cast-off I found and salvaged until I can gather the funds to purchase another "permanent" unit.

The double-doors open. Unfortunately, as you can probably see, due to spacing issues, I have one shelf that has effectively been rendered unusable. I use this shelf as a staging area when adding books or rearranging the existing setup.

My collection is first segregated by companies who produce primarily text-based material (novels, novellas, etc.), followed by artbooks, and finally comic and related collections. Within this, books are sorted by publisher first, then individual book by date of publication. Prices, where documented, are the original MSRPs.
A note about ISBNs and publication dates - when possible, I've documented the ISBNs and publication dates appearing in the books themselves, not as stated on third-party websites. I've noticed that even solicitation pages from the publisher can sometimes be incorrect. When there appears to be a discrepancy, I've listed the "suspect" information in parenthesis.
One other problematic note regarding publisher. Sometimes, a book may be split between two publishers. This is especially true for a company like Graphitti Designs. Everyone from Dark Horse to DC to Marvel has farmed out their books to Graphitti, yet retain the right to be called the "publisher" of those particular books. In these cases, I've chosen to list the book by the commissioning company. For instance, Grendel: War Child was a comic from Dark Horse. When it came time to publish the limited-edition collection, Dark Horse chose Graphitti as the actual bookmaker. However, Dark Horse retained the mantle of "publisher". Therefore, War Child is listed under Dark Horse and not Graphitti.
When I've not been able to uncover information about a particular book, such as its MSRP, I've inserted question marks as placeholders. When a publisher has gone out of business, I've indicated such using an asterisk. The links for these defunct companies usually go to Wikipedia or other community-created pages.
Where available, book dimensions are height x thickness as expressed in inches.
